Public website information
The public site contains approved paper metadata, abstracts, issue and field assignments, author names and affiliations, public rights and availability statements, policies, and status notices. Optional biographies, photographs, personal profile links, and personal contact information require separate consent and are not a condition of manuscript publication.
The site does not provide public access to unpublished manuscripts, student identifiers, grades, private consent records, editorial ballots, deliberation, disputes, IRB documents, rights correspondence, restricted datasets, authentication information, or mailbox recovery details.
Technical request data
Website and security infrastructure may process standard request information such as IP address, device and browser information, requested URL, referring page, timestamp, and security events. This information is used for delivery, security, troubleshooting, accessibility, and performance operations—not for selling personal information or behavioral advertising by the Series.
Third-party sites reached through a link, including OAsis, apply their own infrastructure and privacy practices. The Series does not control those services merely by linking to them.
Information sent to the Series
When someone contacts the Series, the message may include their name, email address, paper information, and content they choose to provide. The Series uses that information to respond, perform editorial or publication operations, document decisions, coordinate with responsible UNLV or OAsis personnel, protect rights and safety, and satisfy applicable legal or records obligations.
Do not send restricted research data, student records, credentials, medical records, unnecessary identity documents, or other sensitive evidence in an initial ordinary email. Describe the issue and ask for an appropriate private channel.
Sharing and disclosure
The Series does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with authorized editors, relevant UNLV offices, UNLV University Libraries/OAsis personnel, service providers, or legal authorities only as needed for an authorized operational, repository, safety, accessibility, records, or legal purpose.
Publication consent applies only to the fields and files approved for public release. Private evidence is not made public merely because it supports a publication decision.
Retention and public records
Communications to the Series are retained and managed according to applicable UNLV and Nevada System of Higher Education records-retention requirements. Messages related to university operations may constitute public records under Nevada law.
No fixed deletion period is promised on this page. The responsible records owner must classify each record series and follow the official retention and disposition requirements. Git history, an email inbox, a personal drive, or the public website is not by itself the official retention schedule.
Correction, privacy, or takedown request
Use the Contact page to report inaccurate public personal information or a privacy concern. Identify the paper or page and the specific field at issue. An urgent request may lead to a temporary custom-site restriction while the responsible authority and, when applicable, OAsis review the matter under Expressions of Concern, Withdrawal & Takedown.
The Series may need to preserve a limited record of a request and action even when public content is corrected, restricted, or removed, subject to controlling privacy, legal, safety, and records requirements.
