The Economics Hub
The UNLV Undergraduate Economics Working Paper Series continues a tradition of undergraduate research dissemination previously supported through The House: UNLV Economics Hub.
The Hub described itself as a student-centered initiative promoting faculty mentorship, ECON 495 research, undergraduate research participation, conference presentation, and publication opportunities. Its archived navigation and Volume 1 page document earlier volumes of undergraduate economics working papers, including paper downloads and an editorial board.
This bounded history is supported by an official 2018 UNLV News profile, the archived Hub About page, Research page, and Volume 1 record. Those historical pages reflect their own period and are not current Series policies.
The present Series
The present Series resumed semester-organized publication. The current platform provides individual paper records, issue organization, research-field browsing, citation tools, and preservation through OAsis, UNLV's institutional repository.
Mark Jayson Martinez Farol rebuilt and organized the present web platform and public catalog beginning in 2026. This contribution is recorded here as part of the Series history; current editorial authority remains defined by the published governance and voting rules.
Historical records under review
Historical working papers from the earlier Economics Hub are being verified, preserved, and incorporated into the current archive. Fourteen metadata records are presently listed, but their provenance, author-name display, rights, final-version status, document accessibility, and intended OAsis status require record-by-record confirmation.
Until that work is complete, the site does not imply that missing historical full text is available or that every local metadata field has been independently verified.
Acknowledgments
The Series acknowledges former Economics Hub student leaders and editors, historical paper authors, faculty mentors, Djeto Assané, Eric Chiang, Junior Editors, students and instructors contributing papers, and the technical and design contributors who built and maintain the public catalog.
The Series also recognizes UNLV University Libraries and OAsis personnel for repository infrastructure and support. This acknowledgment does not substitute for confirmation of current appointments, institutional sponsorship, or a particular repository workflow.
Questions or corrections
Readers with documentary evidence about a historical paper, issue, contributor, or correction may contact the Series.
